Angie Benson, LVT
Practice Manager After 4 years in veterinary medicine as an assistant, Angie decided to go to school and pursue becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 2021 with an associates from Northern Virginia Community College and passed her licensing exam the same year. Angie has experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, specialty, and general practice. After 5 years in surgery and internal medicine, Angie switched jobs and joined the Riverbound Veterinary Clinic team in October of 2023 as the Practice Manager. She is currently back in classes to receive her Certificate of Veterinary Practice Management and is preparing to sit for boards in three years for her CVPM.
Her passion lays in anesthesia, analgesia, client education, and hospice and palliative care. She has a good knowledge of low stress and fear free techniques she loves to incorporate with every fur baby she handles!! In her spare time, Angie enjoys spending time outdoors, trying hole-in-the-wall restaurants, spending all day on the back of her husband’s Harley, and being with her three boys. She has four dogs, three cats, and a hamster! Half of her pets are named after Clint Eastwood characters including her hamster named Thunderbolt. |
